Carson started Carson Cares at the age of six and to see more of the Carson Cares history, click here. Carson has always had the desire to make the world a better place, and he strives to do so not only through Carson Cares but also in his personal life. Carson is in the National Honor Society at Arlington High School and he serves as the Social Chair during the 2017-2018 school year. Carson will also be a representative of the Senior Class in the Student Council at AHS during the 2017-2018 school year. He has won several awards for his service to the community, including an award from Radio Disney and Kohl’s Department Stores’ Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Regional Winner in 2013 and several more. He also served on the GenerationOn Youth Advisory Council and in Youth Leadership Arlington class of 2017. Through Carson Cares, he speaks to the community about Carson Cares and the importance of volunteerism in general. In his free time, Carson enjoys dabbling in photography and graphic design and he plays golf for Arlington High’s Varsity team. He hopes to major in Marketing in college with a minor in Advertising.
Grace Ressl was born in Arlington, TX in 2005. She had a passion for art at an early age, and still loves being creative. She went to Swift Elementary from Kindergarten to Fourth grade. Both of her parents worked for UT Arlington and she learned how to get involved and help others in the community with them. She then joined the Girl Scouts in the First grade. Her favorite project was growing vegetables at the Community Garden to donate to Mission Arlington. She transferred to Duff in Fifth grade, and has recently graduated from there. She began horseback riding after having a passion for horses and horse camps. In her first show, she placed fifth and one year later, won first place after putting in lots of hard work and going to weekly lessons. She loves school and hopes to become a forensic artist after college.
Molly Ruby is an active and creative young girl who loves helping other people. She has volunteered her time at animal shelters and senior care homes for her Girl Scout troop. Molly participates in volleyball and soccer and is still a straight A student. In her free time, she enjoys painting and spending time with her friends.
Noah Ruby was born in 2002. He attended Beckham Elementary until 4th grade, when he transferred to Duff Elementary. He played basketball for several years. After Duff, he went to Bailey Junior High, where he focused on track and cross-country. After the two years at Bailey, Noah decided not to go to Arlington High School, and instead attends Martin High School to be a part of the STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics). He is currently a sophomore at Martin.
Sam was born July 18th, 2005. He is an 8th grader @ Gunn JH. He is on the Carson Cares Youth Board and servers as the Community Outreach. He has flourished this year on the youth board and has blazed the trail for others to follow. He organized and brought to fruition two garden beds at Harvesting Hope community garden. He is ranked as 1st class in Boy Scouts and desires to be an Eagle Scout before his Jounior year in high school. He plays the baritone sax and is thrilled to play in the Arlington High marching band the fall of 2019. He placed 3rd this year in Arlington Youth Alliance Volunteer of year award. He is incredibly caring, witty and often mistaken for shy, but his mind is always going, and he continues to find new ways to give to others.
Jenna Brooke is a caring, talented 8th grader. She enjoys being involved in school activities and excelling in her schoolwork. She loves music, animals and helping those in need.
Maya is a junior at Arlington High School. She is very hardworking, driven, and has a passion for volunteering. Besides being on the Senior Youth Board of Carson Cares, she is a member of Key Club and is the founder of National Beta at AHS. Along with these activities, she also maintains straight A’s in school, works, and still makes time to spend quality time with her friends and family. She wants to go to the University of Southern California to study business and aspires to continue following her passion for volunteering and working towards improving the lives of others in any way she can.
Bella Stansbury was born on June 13, 2005. Bella is a very involved student athlete. She is an eighth grader at Bailey Jr. High and will be attending Arlington High School next year. This is her first year on the Carson Cares board but she has a passion for serving in the community. She serves in the kids ministry at her church, is an officer in Bailey's National Jr. Honor society, and a officer in student council. She is in a variety of clubs and organizations and is in all pre-ap classes. She will be cheering next year as a freshman at Arlington High and is looking forward to high school. Bella has two amazing parents and four siblings and enjoys time with her family. Some of her favorite things to do are dance, swim, serve, and hang out with her friends! Bella has enjoyed everything she’s done with Carson Cares and can’t wait for all of the future projects!
Victoria Whipple was born January 10,2009. She is incredibly talented in all she attempts. She has been a girl scout for 5 years and has volunteered with Carson Cares before she could walk. She is a friend to all that meet her. Her caring personality and her knack for leadership are the reason she jumped at the chance to be on the Carson Cares Junior board. She is currently a 4th grader @ Berry Elementary and is extremely excited to start 5th grade at The Leadership academy in the fall of 2019. She placed 3rd in the elementary divison in the Alliance for Youth volunteer of the year award this year.
Caroline is currently a fifth grader at Duff Elementary. She plays the violin, basketball, volleyball and her greatest love, soccer. She enjoys serving at her church and in her community. She is excited to be a new member of the Carson Cares junior board.
Molly Hoelscher is currently a 5th grader at Duff Elementary. She loves to read, and spend time with her friends and family. She also enjoys playing many sports, especially soccer, and playing cello in the school orchestra. She is thrilled to be a new member of the Carson Cares junior board.
Maya James is a kind, caring young girl who loves to pitch in and help in her community. In her free time she enjoys doing gymnastics, reading or writing, playing outside, playing her violin, and hanging out with her friends. She attends Duff Elementary and hopes to be on the journalism team at Bailey Junior High.
LaShaunn Bold has been the Carson Cares Board Secretary for 10 years. She enjoys participating in the planning and facilitation of every Carson Cares event. Her desire to be part of a thriving community fuels her passion for helping others. As the proud parent of the youth founder of Carson Cares, LaShaunn is excited about the vision Carson has for the future of Carson Cares. and creating long lasting SERVE. opportunities for kids in our community. She currently is on faculty in the School of Social Work at UTA.
